The churches of Kerala stand throughout the length and breadth of the state telling stories of the past. The Chavara Bhavan, Bharananganam church of Blessed Alphonsa, St.Francis Church of Fort Kochi, St. Mary’s Church Kuravilangad are some of the important places of pilgrimage. Potta is the largest retreat center in India where people of all beliefs gather for spiritual retreats. Pampa is a religious center for both Christian and Hindu devotees.  Maramon Convention, the largest Christian religious festival, is celebrated every year on the banks of the river Pampa. Sabarimala, the renowned Ayyappa temple is located at this place and people from all parts of India gather here every year for spiritual rejuvenation.

Beemapalli, the mosque built in remembrance of Beema Beevi, is a center of attraction for Muslim devotees. Chandanakudam festival and Beemapalli Urus are the major festivals celebrated here that attract huge crowds. Varambetta mosque with a three hundred year history is of great historical importance.

The Jain temples of Kerala are some of the major centers that grab the attention of the visitors. Puliyar Mala Jain temple and Sulthan Bathery Jain temple are among the renowned spiritual centers built for people belonging to the Jain faith.
